So far for my lit. circle books i have been reading the harry potter books. Its about a boy that had his parents murdered just when he was a baby. Harry had to grow up with his aunt that is completely opposite of his mother. Harry spends years with them until he gets to the age of twelve, when he finds his world is completly different. One of his old friends comes to get him to take him to a magical school for wizards. Harry finds out he is a wizard and famous! A mystery lies behind who is he? why did he survive in the murding of his parents? This book is full of lessons and learning about who your are.

The sights, cheer and smells of christmas

Christmas... As I sit by the fire, I see the pretty christmas light shining from the tree and other houses through the window, hearing the fire crackel and pop. I taste the hot chocolate burning my toungh and smell the cinnamon from all of the christmas decorations and the warm chocolate chip cookies just being pulled out of the oven oozing with chocolate! I hear the cries of little kids talking about Santa Claus and what they are wanting for christmas and the rumble of all the adults talking about how they are going to find all of the toys that their kids are wanting and how to make them happy!

When i grow up i want to go to go to collage for two things first i want to go to school to be an image consultant and use that to pay the way for collage for opening a business. then i want to open a clothing store, 3 actually the first in Los Angelas and the second in Miami, the third in a different country.

What goes on at turkey day? by ADAM

This year on my moms side of the family we decided to have an old fashioned family thanx giving
with my whole family, thats like 30 to 40 people who most dont even like each other, that sounds fun.
well not every body showed up one person didnt show cuz he was arrested and the others because..... well we dont know but it was actually pretty fun.

What Michelle thinks of Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Its a time to be thankful for everything that God has blessed you with and to spend with your friends and family. What I am thankful for the most though is my friends and family and the time that I am blessed to spend with them, eventhough there is never enough time in the day to do everything that I would like to do with them. I love them all and hope they will never forget that!!

An acumen thing i did was choose to take photography. I love taking pictures, rather of people, places, or things. my favorite thing to take pictures of is nature.I know how to use big cameras, change lenses, and how to edit them on the computer. I really like photography beacuse its a way of expressing ones self without words. One picture can bring back memories, thoughts, or emotions, its also a way of art. One day i wish to sell some of my photography and put bible verses on them to make you think. Sometimes people may read verses and it goes right through their head, but when there is a picture it tends to make you think more.

shana's favorite time of the year!!!

This is my Favoirte Time of The Year!!!! I love when the leaves are falling all around me, because I get the chance to play in them and it so pretty to to look around. When I was reading Dark Days in Morgan County it was taking place in this time of the year. Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorite time of the year. they are family holidays and I love family. I love the history on Thanksgiving and the food. I am a big Amercian History buff. I love Christmas because of the Chirst Lords Birth,and also the food and family. SNOW is the bomb along with all the GREAT FOOD!!!! (the picture at the top left is fall what it looks like around my house, and the picture at the top right reminds me of a place they went in my favorite book!)

kaitlins journal about "Dark Days in Morgan County"

The book "Dark Days in Morgan County" was a good book in my opinion. At first i thought that the book was a little show getting started but it got better and better going on. I like how each of the books have a valuable lesson. The book was based on a black family moving in morgan county. Timmy gets to know them very well. Unfortuantly there was the tuttle family which made hate crimes against them. In the end Timmy and his family show how other people should be treated equally and gives the family right treatment in the county. This book was one of my favorites because it shows that color doesnt matter, it's what is on the inside that counts.

my bestie....ohh were do I even start??? My bestie or Best Friend is Michelle Claye Toy!!! She is one of the best things that ever happened to me... She is an only cild and i know that she gets bored with that because she doesn't have anyone to blame anything on we she does wrong, or play and talk with, but yet at times she loves it, because she gets to be SPOILED!!! Her mom babysits kids so she is never in the house alone without kids... This past year my freshmen year i had a big cahnge... I became Michelle's best friend. We have become so close that its unreal. We are exactly alike we love the same things and say the same things..at the same time. Over the summer her family invited me to go with them to Florida... AAHHH its was the first time that i ever got the chance to see a beach palm trees or the Ocean!!! I had a blast and she did too.. she is already making plans to go again!!! I love Michelle. A person that GREAT only comes around once in a lifetime... don't let them pass by because you will miss everything.. If you ever need a person to talk to you after a tragic break up or a fight Michelle will be there i know..

The last autumn leaf falls. Animals scatter for the final pile of food. Time to bundle, time to get warm, prepare for it's a whisper away. Softly but quickly it comes. Chills increase, dew covers the ground. Winter is a step away, drawing closer each and everyday.

Michelle's Happy Halloween

As I walk down the street I hear the cries of little children saying " trick-or-teat" and the cries of little children who are being scared from the Halloween theme. i hear the leaves crackle as they fall to the ground, reminding me of the candy wrappers that are taken from the candy and thrown to the grown. The smell of popcorn just taken out of the microwave with the smell of butter mixed with candy makes my stomach tighten. I feel the cool breeze blow against my skin, sending cold chills up and down my spine and make me shiver. I taste the sweet candy on my tongue as it melts away to nothing, realizing the the candy is like Halloween... Almost gone!

The book "Boot Camp" is about a boy named Garrett. Garrett is a boy who is has a deciduous attitude. He doesn't know why he is sent there but he knows that his life was antebellum. Now it is the opposite. Garrett is forced to eat unbareable food and he offtend gets beat up. Garrett gets abstemious and can bearly take it until he hears of an escape plan. Can this plan help him escape, or will irony strick his life again?

Michelle's Bestie!!!!!!!

I have always wanted a sister when i was smaller. I didn't get one at that time, but when this year came along... i did. Shes not a sister by blood, marriage, or an adopted sister, shes just a girl that I met through school and church. She has brown hair " like me" brown eyes "like me" and we both think so much alike that sometimes it gets a little scary. Just recently over the summer, I was going to Orlando, Florida and I really wanted someone to go with me besides my boring parents who don't understand anything, except my mom, she pretty cool. But one Day got this bright idea and asked my mom if she could go with me. So my mom went and talked to her mom, and then that night she texted me and told me that she was going to be able to go. I was so excited that I can't even explain it. After we got everything packed and ready to go, we were on the road. We had such a great time, listening to the radio, singing EVERY song that came on, No joke! We finally arrived!! The first thing we done when we got there was check everything out. It was beautiful, we didn't even want to come back home. But even though we had to, we done the same thing on the way back home... SING! Shana and I have became so close we could practically call ourselves sisters, I'm just glad that it was her! I love ya girl : )

This week i finished the book called "Boot Camp." I really liked this book because it made me feel like i was Garret. It felt like i was the one that wanted to escape and help my friends. I felt the urge to beat up Adam. It made me realize how lucky i am. This book is full of a roller coaster of emotions and i think thats why i liked it so much.

zach's weekend!!!!!!

Bland and dull, not really amuch to do around the house except clean and mow the yard. I had to take of our rabbit, Zoe while my lidttle brother was out somewhere with my mom. I just laid around,watched tv and try occupy my time the best i could...

SCHOOL!!!!

School is like an infrastructure!! It can be very fun and exciting, but it can also be frustrating and boring. Art class is Kaitlin's favorite thing about school. On the other hand, she doesn't like having to do so much homework in all of her classes. Adam's favorite part of school is LUNCH!! He doesn't like his 2ND period teacher, Mr. Rose. Adam thinks that hes weird and that he cant teach. Shana loves her social time, just seeing her friends every day makes her happy. I think that's the only reason that she even comes! Even though she gets to see her friends in her math class, she doesn't like it because its not her strongest subject. Zach likes coming to school to see his old friends, but some people can be morons and he doesn't like that. Michelle's favorite part about school to be with her friends, but some of those people can be very immature and they try to be hubris when they're clearly not funny at all. Autumn says that as the deciduous seasons decide that summers over, the school bell ring is getting closer, but the irony is that summer. Antebellum of no longer friends fresh of missed memories.

adams fabulous weekend

My weekend was a good weeekend. The best thing that happened was that i met Tim Calahan, the author of kentucky summers. I got the second and third book of the seris and then got then signed, personally.

The Cave, The Cabin, and The Tattoo Man is about a young boy named Timmy, that lives in Ohio with his mom and dad. During his summers he goes and lives with his grandparents in Morgan Co. Kentucky. Timmy's Grandparents own a grocery store there. The name of it is Collins Grocery, Timmy meets lots of people. He has a best friend named Suzie, that he has a little crush on.... Things don't always work out with them. Mrs. Robbins is a little old lady that was very nice to Timmy, Mrs. Robbins asked Timmy to help her out around her farm. Timmy was on his way to help out little Mrs. Robbins

Michelle's favorite childhood memory!!!!

I really don't have a favorite childhood memory. But what I enjoyed the most of being a child was being with my mom. She plays a very important part in my life. Whether its helping me out with homework, helping me make good decisions, or just telling me what to do, or what I'm doing wrong. She knows me better than any person ever will. We don't really get to do a lot of things together, but we spend most of are time together. Just recently over the summer i think is when we became the closest, she babysits, and I helped here a lot over the summer, and just in doing that made us really close. Over the past few years of me growing up and mauturing... she has taught me how to be a better person, and always help those who are in need of help. i am so glad that I have a mother like her to love me, and I love her!!!!

Blood Brothers

Blood Brothers was about this teenage boy who practically grew up without a home. His father was out of a job and he didn't have any money to take care of his family. Until he remember that he had an old friend from school who lived kinda close. So here it was Christmas Eve and he was showing up at his friends house starved and without a home. So they took his son named Clay. Clay and their son named Joey became best friends. They spit into a bottle and called themselves "blood brothers". Clay had gotten himself a job at the hospital. He said that it felt like where he belonged. Until one evening after work, AND EVERYTHING HAPPENED!!!!

If I were a color, I would be green. I would be green because It's my favorite color, and people depends on green; such as money and trees. Trees also turn orange in the fall, which is my third favorite colorrrr! :)

The Last Holiday!!!!

In the movie the last holiday the woman named Georgia finds out that she is going to die within about 3 weeks. Now she is looking back saying she should have done what she didnt before. She is starting to realize that she has spent her whole life missing out on what life could be instead of living it. Now she is starting to stick up for herself and make changes before she is "suppose" to die.

kaitlins childhood memories

well one of my favorite childhood memories is playing on my farm. as a kid, you never run out of things to do on a farm. some of my favorite things to do when i was little is play in the leafs, swing, and play with our animals. my favorite thing to do was going outside.

GIVE US OUR BOOKS BACK!!!!!!!!

Hi! this is Michelle and Shana. Michelle and I are in Mrs. Mullins'4Th period Ac. English 2 class. In our first month back we have realized that we have a great teacher. She is so much fun. We love her so very much. we have a lit circle that we do every 2 to 3 days a week. Which is where we get together as a group and read 1 book and discuss what the books are about. But as we have been in the process of reading these books, some of our books have been taken under revision to be challenged. We as a group feel that it is wrong for our books to be challenged. We feel that we are old and mature enough to make our own decision, including what we read. If there was something wrong with the books, we have the decision to switch it with another book. Our teacher knows what is best for her students and would not hand out inappropriate books.

Zack Favorite Childhood Memory

My favorite childhood memory that I had was when my parents took me to Myrtle Beach for the first time. At first I was hating it due to the fact that the seagull wouldn'y stop chasing me, but that was really the only down side. We went out every night to outdoor beach side dinners & in the morning we weould head to the pools. When we left for home, we had forgotten to buy a suvenior. Nut I guess a bad sunburn would be fine. (I haven't beeen back since, stupid birds...)

Autumn's Favorite Book

My favorite book of all time is Perks of being a Wallflower, by Stephen Chobsky. This is a diary type book, Charlie writes his new expirience of high school, drugs, and other pressuring issues between teenagers. Charlie grows up and learns to interact with others. Just like every other teenager needs to do.

Adams Greatest Fear

My greatest fear is spiders and snakes. I absolutely hate spiders and snakes they are very wierd, especially spiders cause they are every wear. snakes are just scarey. I never want to see another spider or snake again.

Dear Mr Franz

Us being sophmores want to thank you for making a mold for us to fit into to the mature life of upperclassmen. As hard as it was, and as many fight we had, as many dress codes violations and division it was probably the best year of our lives so far. We have understood and grown what our freshman year effected us.

Michelle's first week back.

My first week back has been very frustrating, exciting, and nerve wrecking all at the same time! Over the summer I was so bored out of my mind, I mean don't get me wrong, I love spending time with my friends and family but it was getting to the point to where I had already done everything that you could possibly think of. The very !st day of school, I was a nervous wreck. I didn't know where some of my classes were and I didn't know who all was going to be in my classes. The night before I couldn't even sleep, but I should of known that everything would be OK, because I love all of my classes, and all of my teachers!!!! : )

Well reflecting back the first day was pretty crazy. i have one class that is at the end of the school and i have to run all the way to the front of the building to make it to class on time. the thing that i do like is that i dont have to rush in lunch. i already have a bunch of homework and i am nervous about having a lod to carry this year.
